What to Expect
Once your order is placed, our team coordinates each stage of the process on your behalf—from the safe transportation of your loved one’s cremated remains to preparing the artwork, embellishment, final inspection, and delivery. Every step has been thoughtfully designed to make the experience as seamless, secure, and respectful as possible.
Your Memorial Kit Is Sent
Within 1–2 business days of placing your order, we will send you a Memorial Kit containing everything you need to safely send the required portion of your loved one’s cremated remains to us.
Your kit includes a specially sized memorial bag selected for your artwork, detailed instructions, a prepaid return shipping label, and a GPS tracker.
The tracker provides an added level of reassurance throughout the journey, allowing the shipment containing your loved one’s cremated remains to be tracked as it travels to us. Our team is able to follow its journey and know where it is throughout the shipping process.
Cremated Remains Are Prepared for Your Piece
The amount of cremated remains required depends on the size of the artwork you have selected. Simply fill the provided memorial bag according to the instructions included in your kit, securely package it as directed, and use the provided return shipping label to send it to us.
The GPS tracker remains with the package throughout its journey back to Tribute Art™, providing added security and visibility while your loved one’s cremated remains are in transit.
Once Your Memorial Kit Arrives
Once your Memorial Kit is safely received by our team, we begin coordinating the creation of your piece.
Your selected artwork is professionally prepared for embellishment, and the cremated remains are carefully prepared for incorporation into the artistic medium.
Your Artwork Is Embellished
The required portion of cremated remains is respectfully incorporated into the artistic medium before the artwork is hand-embellished. Texture, depth, and individual artistic detail are added to create a unique and meaningful memorial.
Throughout the process, your loved one’s cremated remains are handled with dignity, care, and respect and are used only for the memorial artwork you have authorized.
Any Remaining Cremated Remains Are Returned
If the full amount of cremated remains you provided is not required to complete your artwork, the remaining portion is securely packaged and returned to you with your finished piece.
Your Finished Artwork Makes the Journey Home
Once the embellishment process is complete, your artwork is carefully reviewed, protected, and prepared for shipment.
The GPS tracker travels with your completed artwork and any remaining cremated remains, providing the same added level of visibility and reassurance during their journey home to you.
You will be able to follow the shipment until your Tribute Art™ piece has safely arrived.
Returning the GPS Tracker
One $250 refundable GPS tracker deposit will be added at checkout for every Embellished Art order. A single GPS tracker accompanies each order, so the deposit is charged once per order regardless of how many Embellished Art pieces it includes. The deposit is collected because the GPS tracker travels with the cremated remains on their journey to Tribute Art™ and then travels with the completed artwork and any remaining cremated remains on the return journey to you. It is separate from the purchase price of your artwork and from any 50% product deposit option you may select.
To provide this additional level of visibility for every family, the GPS trackers are returned and reused for future shipments. Once your completed artwork has been received, you will be provided with a prepaid return shipping label and instructions for returning the GPS tracker. Simply package the tracker as instructed and send it back to us.
The GPS tracker must be tendered to the designated carrier using the prepaid return shipping label within 30 days of delivery of your completed artwork. Return transit time does not count toward the 30-day period. Once the tracker is received by Tribute Art™ in returnable condition, the $250 refundable tracker deposit will be refunded to the original payment method, where possible.
There is no cost to you for use of the tracker when it is returned as instructed—the deposit simply allows us to continue providing this added level of care for every family whose loved one is entrusted to us.

From the moment your Memorial Kit begins its journey to you through the safe return of your finished artwork, every stage is coordinated with care, respect, and attention to detail.
The addition of GPS tracking gives both you and our team greater visibility while your loved one’s cremated remains are travelling, adding another layer of reassurance to a process we understand carries tremendous meaning.
Within 1–2 business days of placing your order, we send you a Memorial Kit containing instructions, an appropriately sized memorial bag, a prepaid return shipping label and a GPS tracker. You place the required portion of cremated remains into the memorial bag and return the kit following the instructions provided.
The GPS tracker travels with the cremated remains to us, offering an additional level of visibility and reassurance while they are in transit. Once the Memorial Kit and cremated remains are received, please allow approximately 2–4 weeks for your artwork to be completed, carefully packaged and shipped to you. Any unused cremated remains are returned with your finished artwork, and the tracker makes the return journey with them.
One $250 refundable GPS tracker deposit is required per order, however many Embellished Art pieces it includes. Acrylic Paintings
Acrylic paint dries within days and forms a durable, flexible film. It is less sensitive to solvents than oil, but the surface can still hold delicate impasto and embellishment that deserves a gentle hand.
Day to day
- Once a season, dust the surface with a clean, dry, soft-bristled brush — a new makeup brush or paintbrush works well — brushing lightly from top to bottom.
- Hang on an interior wall away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Keep the room between 60–75°F (16–24°C) and 40–55% relative humidity.
Never
- Ammonia- or alcohol-based cleaners, which can dissolve acrylic film.
- Abrasive cloths, paper towels, or anything that catches on texture.
- Direct sunlight, extreme heat, and hanging above radiators or vents.
Prints on Canvas
Our canvas prints receive a protective archival coating that guards against dust and minor handling. They are lighter and more flexible than paintings, but the printed surface should still be treated with care.
Day to day
- Dust the front and frame with a clean, dry microfiber cloth or a feather duster.
- Keep the piece in a stable, climate-controlled room on an interior wall.
- Handle by the frame or stretcher bars, never by the canvas surface.
Never
- Direct sunlight, even with UV-protective coating. Light damage is cumulative.
- Water, cleaning sprays, and damp cloths on the printed surface.
- Touching the canvas face or leaning objects against it.
Pay 50% at the time of order, with the remaining 50% due before your completed piece is shipped. Production begins once your deposit has been received, and your order must be paid in full before shipment.
Eligible purchases may also be financed through Affirm, spreading the cost over available payment terms. When choosing Affirm, the 50% deposit option does not apply.

How long do I have to return the tracker?
You have 30 days from the delivery of your completed artwork to send the GPS tracker back using the prepaid return shipping label we provide. The tracker only needs to be given to the designated carrier within those 30 days—the time it takes to travel back to Tribute Art™ does not count toward your return period.
Once we receive the tracker back in returnable condition, your $250 tracker deposit will be refunded to the original payment method, where possible.
Due to the personalized and memorial nature of Embellished Art, all orders are final once placed and cannot be cancelled, returned, or exchanged, subject to applicable law. If your artwork arrives damaged or there is a verified issue with your order, please contact us.
An Artist Proof is the very first print produced from the original artwork. It holds a special place in the creation of the piece, representing the first printed version of the artist’s original work before subsequent prints are produced.
